Department of Computing
Research Programs
The Department of Computing offers full-time and part-time research programmes which can lead to a qualification of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Master of Philosophy (MPhil). Collectively these are known as Higher Degree by Research (HDR) programs, roughly equivalent to the graduate programs offered in the North American universities. Similarly, students enroled in PhD and MPhil degrees are called the "HDR students", just as their North American counterparts are called the graduate students.
From here you can access:
-
Information for Prospective HDR Students, such as: what being an HDR student involves, what research is carried on in the Department of Computing, and how to apply.
-
Information for Current HDR Students, such as: programme commencement requirements and details of processes, and sample PhD theses.
-
Information on Past and Current HDR Students, such as: a listing of some past HDR students and their theses, and a sample of some current students and recent graduates.
