Short Description
COMP155 is the advanced version of the main introductory computer science unit, providing a practical introduction to basic computing and programming concepts.
Assumed knowledge
Learning outcomes
- An understanding of the basic concepts in computer science.
- An understanding of the basic computer organisation.
- Ability to solve problems using C++. In particular, to use basic programming concepts such as iteration, selection, procedures, functions and arrays.
- Sound knowledge of testing and debugging.
- Ability to write simple C++ programs using classes.
