Honours Program Application and Enrolment
Application
To apply, you need first to talk to a member of the Department of Computing, so that we know that you know what's involved in doing honours. The honours convenor, Mark Dras, is a good default person for this. You probably will have want to have read the Program Outline first.
After you've done this, get an application form either in person from the Student Enquiry Service, or from the Undergraduate Studies website. When you've filled this in, lodge it at the Student Enquiry Service.
Enrolment
Enrolment works differently for honours than it does for standard undergraduates. From the point of view of the university, you only enrol in one unit: COMP490 if you're full-time, COMP495 if you're part-time. This is what you fill in on the enrolment form during the enrolment period.
When it comes to choosing the actual subjects you'll take, that's done individually with the honours convenor; you choose the subjects as specified on the Units Offered page.
This process is initiated over email, around a month before the semester starts (a little later for those starting in Semester 2). Initial contact will be made through your official university email addresses (firstname.lastname@mq.edu.au). Make sure you are checking these at around this time, before semester starts.
