Numberplate recognition
Recognising numberplates in images is difficult because of variations in size, colour, position, design of the plates as well as frames and damage to plates that modify their appearance. Project would develop methods to recognise and read plates in real images. Software may be developed on Windows or Linux using C/C++. An industrial strength machine vision library is available for use in the project.
