Scholarships and Prizes
The Department of Computing recognises merit and excellence in students through the award of scholarships and prizes. Individuals and organisations have generously donated funds for these awards.
Scholarships
The main scholarships available to Computing students are offered under the Division of Information and Communication Sciences Scholarships scheme. Up to two scholarships worth $5,000 per annum and three scholarships worth $2,500 per annum will be offered to Computing students under this scheme. There are a large number of honours scholarships available for Computing Honours students.
The department also offers upto six vacation scholarships for undergraduate students to work on research projects in Computing for 6-8 weeks during January and February. These scholarships carry a $350 per week tax-free stipend and are open to students who have completed second or third year studies in Computing at Macquarie or any other Australian University.
