300 Level Computing Liaison Committee

The purpose of the committee is to discuss any problems or issues relating to 300-level units and students. These can range from the simple-to-fix (eg the tute room is too small and we have to stand) to the more general issues (eg why can't we learn java).

The student reps and staff meet about 2 times a semester to talk about the units for about 30-50 mins. The minutes of the meetings apear on the Web so everyone is aware of what was discussed.

Details of the regular meeting dates will be posted on the 300-Level Computing Liaison Committee Web-page (http://www.comp.mq.edu.au/courses/300-liaison/). All 300 Level students are strongly encouraged to contact their Liaison Committee representative with any matter they wish raised. If there is an issue that needs to be resolved before the next meeting is scheduled, then any student or staff member may ask for a meeting to be held. Contact your Liaison Committee representative to request a special meeting.

Who can attend?

Anyone with an interest in 300 Level Computing units. This includes staff involved in the teaching and administration of the units, and students currently taking a 300 Level Computing unit. There are formal Liaison Committee representatives for each unit who attend to present the views of the student body, however, individual COMP3XX students are welcome to attend.

The meetings are normally held in the Department of Computing Meeting Room, E6A357 or E6A202.
