Mixed Class Problems

The Mixed Class is a combined tutorial and practical class.

These classes are not for collecting solutions. These classes are to help you improve your problem solving ability. To pass this unit you must actively engage and participate in the class so that the tutor can help you identify any weaknesses or misconceptions and to overcome them.

These classes are your chance to ask questions. Staff are available and are interested in solving your problems and the classes are much smaller than lectures.

Each week we set exercises that are aimed at helping you to understand aspects of the work that we think are particularly important or particularly difficult. It is important that you try to do these exercises before your Mixed Class so that you know what to ask about in the class.

Mixed Class Exercises

Each class will contain some exercise(s) designated "Homework to be submitted". These must be submitted via web-CT by 9am of Monday BEFORE the Mixed Class. Your tutor will mark them and return them during the class.

This is your opportunity to obtain feedback on your progress in the unit

IMPORTANT Please submit only .txt files (or .cpp files). Doc files will not be accepted. You can use notepad or notebook. If you use WORD them you must "SAVE AS" plain text which produces a .txt file.

Submissions

1. The homework must be submitted by 9am Monday BEFORE the class. This MUST be a .txt file. These are CORE exam questions.
2. The practical exercise must be submitted by 9am Monday AFTER the class. This will be a complete c++ program.
