This page contains information and past exam papers which will help you to prepare for the final examination in this unit.
For the date and location of the final exam for COMP125 you must consult the official examination timetable website (www.timetables.mq.edu.au/exam/). Carefully read the examination rules posted on the website.
You will be given a pink examination question paper together with sufficient answer books. You will have three hours plus ten minutes reading time to complete the examination.
The exam question paper will consist of two sections, A and B each worth 90 marks. The answers to each section should be written in a separate answer book -- one answer book per section. Note in particular that there will be no multiple choice questions in the exam paper this semester.
Each section will have two types of questions. Answer all the CORE questions. Answering satisfactorily the CORE questions is a necessary (though not sufficient) requirement to pass the unit.
Some further information about the exam paper and some advice will be given to you in lectures during the final week of classes (that is, week 13). Note that the sample exams below do not mark the CORE questions. This is because past exams did not have the distinction between CORE and non-CORE questions. We will go through some of these exams during the lectures and will tell what questions would be CORE.
